Call for papers for the 20th European Conference on Games Based Learning (ECGBL2026) - Mini track: Learning Through Game Making

Francesca Maria Dagnino and Marcello Passarelli (CNR-ITD), in collaboration with Luke West (University of Tübingen), are launching a call for papers for the mini track “Learning through Game Making" at the 20th European Conference on Games Based Learning (ECGBL2026). This initiative aims to reignite the debate on the role of game creation as a powerful practice in formal education across different school levels. How can making games transform learning? What challenges does it face? And how might technological evolution reshape this field?

 

The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 10th. The conference will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2026, in Darmstadt, Germany.
