On 28 May, Francesca Pozzi, Director of CNR’s Institute for Educational Technology (CNR-ITD), took part in a roundtable session titled: “AI and language education: what skills for students and teachers?” at Turin University. The session was part of a one-day symposium on “AI and Language Education: Dialogue between Research and Practice” organised by the university’s IA.T.EL research group (Artificial Intelligence, Translation, Language Education).

Joining Francesca on the panel were Turin University lecturers Lucia Cinato, Antonella Giacosa and Maria Margherita Mattioda, with co-lecturer Alessandra Molino acting as moderator. This stimulating roundtable discussion examined the potential and risks of AI in education, especially in the languages domain.
