La produzione scientifica di ITD si articola, oltre che nella realizzazione di sistemi software, piattaforme, banche dati, in pubblicazioni scientifiche in riviste indicizzate Scopus e Web of Science. CNR-ITD cura, dal 1993, l’Italian Journal of Educational Technology (precedentemente “TD Tecnologie Didattiche”), la prima e più importante rivista italiana sulle tecnologie didattiche, classificata fra quelle di classe A (ANVUR). La rivista è anche on-line.
