Daniele Schicchi is a research fellow at the Institute for Educational Technologies at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ITD). 

He obtained a Ph.D in Information Communication Technology at the Doctoral School in Computer Science enrolled by Consortium of Universities: Catania, Messina, and Palermo - (Italy). The main topic addressed during the 3-years of doctoral studies was the development of Machine Learning/Deep Learning based methodologies for the autonomous assessment of text complexity.

He is specially involved in the study of Artificial Intelligence (AI) field, and he actively attended three international AI schools: European Summer School on Fuzzy Logic and Applications (2018), Second International Summer School on Deep Learning (2018), and IAPR Summer School on Machine and Vision Intelligence (2018). 

He is interested in doing researches about the application of innovative IT methodologies to the educational field in order to support the learning experience of students. A special interest concerns Learning Analytics activities especially under the Data Analysis and Machine Learning perspectives.
