The Erasmus+ AI-DL – Data Literacy in the Age of AI for Education project (https://www.aidlproject.eu/) is a European initiative dedicated to promoting new data literacy skills within school communities. The project, which includes partners and education ministries from various European countries, was designed to help build a knowledgeable and thoughtful approach to data through hands-on training and educational experiments.

AI-DL aims to strengthen the critical thinking of students, teachers and school leaders by providing tools to understand how the processes of data creation, processing, and use, especially by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies, affect daily life and the exercise of citizenship. At the heart of the initiative is a reference to democratic values, considered key to the responsible and inclusive use of artificial intelligence in schools.
