ARI-Lab is a research project aimed at studying how microworld-based systems, online communication systems and learning object tecnologies can impact on mathematics learning, particularly on arithmetics problem solving and the introduction to algebra. The project has led to the development of software systems which have been tested in a variety of different classroom settings: the latest versions are ARI-LAB 2 and ARI@ITALES. The results from ARI-Lab relate to a number of research fields: mathematics education, educational technologys, cognitive science, human computer interaction, school integration of disabled students.
